Kathleen Morton, M.A. MFT, LPC-Supervisor, ATR, EMDR

Kathleen Morton is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, EMDR Certified clinician, Marriage and Family Therapist, and Registered Art Therapist who is skilled at creating a safe, nurturing environment to identify and develop areas for personal growth and healing. Kathleen is the owner of Austin Mindful Therapy and enjoys being of service to individuals, couples and families. She received her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, CA and completed her thesis on building resilience in the wake of physical and emotional abuse. She is highly experienced in individual, group, and family counseling and has been a practicing mental health therapist since 2010. She is also a former foster parent with first-hand experience in parenting children with trauma histories and adoption issues and has trained in TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention), Play Therapy and DBT Therapy. As an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) certified clinician, Kathleen specializes in addressing PTSD. EMDR is highly effective in both adults and children for the treatment of PTSD, anxiety, depression, addiction, self-harm and a myriad of other compulsive behaviors and phobias. She possesses an in-depth knowledge of substance abuse and recovery, utilizing both 12 Step and alternative recovery methods.  As a group therapist, she has experience working in residential treatment, in-patient hospitals, and out-patient settings with children and adults of all ages. Kathleen is an active member of both the Texas Counseling Association (TCA) and the South Texas Art Therapy Association (STATA).

Anna Kelton, M.S.S.W., LCSW-Supervisor, EMDR

Anna Kelton is a culturally sensitive, warm, knowledgeable, Licensed Clinical Social Worker who guides her clients to discover their personal goals, while providing the expertise and support to achieve them. Anna received her Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin; her experience includes working with clients who have experienced sexual trauma, physical trauma, PTSD, anxiety, low self-esteem, and relationship issues. Anna is fully trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and specializes in utilizing this and other trauma-informed methods to assist her clients in healing from unresolved stressful experiences.  She is also trained in DBT, play therapy and sandtray therapy and enjoys working with children, teens, couples, and families. Anna has additional training in Post-Partum Mood Disorders and also specializes in supporting new mothers through their post-partum journey.

Catherine Hotard, M.S.S.W., LCSW-Supervisor, EMDR

Catherine Hotard is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who counsels adults, parents and children. Catherine has a compassionate, calming presence and she enjoys helping clients build upon and fully realize their strengths, while ultimately embracing a greater sense of well-being. Catherine earned her Bachelor's degree from Centenary College of Louisiana in both Biology & Psychology.  After moving to Austin, she completed her Master's Degree from The University of Texas at Austin with a focus in clinical Social Work.  Catherine has extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma, and has professional experience in school counseling, working with families and individuals coping with grief and loss, and providing counseling for survivors of natural disasters. Catherine has a special emphasis on working with caregivers and those coping with loss, or adjusting to challenging transitions.

Lauren Thompson, LMSW











Lauren Thompson,  M.S.S.W., LMSW

Lauren Thompson is a Licensed Master Social Worker who values creating a safe, judgment-free, and nurturing space with respect to the client’s identity and values. Lauren earned her B.S. in Psychology at Florida State University and moved to Texas to complete her MSSW at the University of Texas at Austin. She has a passion for working with those who are experiencing struggles related to cultural identity, life transitions, trauma, family conflict, relational issues, LGBTQIA2S+ experiences, depression, anxiety, and daily stressors. Lauren’s approach is anti-oppressive, strengths-based, and person-centered. Her background is in the education, healthcare, and child welfare settings, assisting families, parents, and children. Lauren is trained in CBT, IFS, Play Therapy, Mindfulness, and Attachment-based techniques.

Kevin Eby, M.A., LPC, EMDR, Senior Clinician

Kevin Eby is a Licensed Professional Counselor and received his masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Adler University (Chicago, IL). Kevin employs a person-centered approach to counseling and believes that open-mindedness, empathy, trust and respect are essential in order to help individuals make progress toward growth and recovery. Kevin has an extensive counseling background including helping working professionals manage feelings of burnout, parent coaching, behavioral issues in children, grief/loss, trauma-informed counseling, depression and anxiety, LGBTQIA+ issues, self-esteem and self-worth, coping with mental illness, and crisis de-escalation. Throughout his career Kevin has provided individual and group counseling in settings such as college wellness centers, partial-care outpatient programs, after school and summer programming, and residential mental health.

Emma Neusner, LMSW

Emma Neusner, M.S.S.W., LMSW, EMDR

Emma Neusner is a Licensed Master of Social Work who enjoys assisting children, teens, and adults. Emma creates a nonjudgmental and open atmosphere in counseling and employs strengths-based and person-centered approaches. Emma earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Virginia Tech and her MSW from Fordham University with a clinical focus. Emma uses a strengths-based and person-centered approach to counseling. Emma’s counseling experience includes working with individuals affected by degenerative diseases and disabilities, as well as their families and caregivers. Emma has advanced training in child and adolescent trauma, LGBTQIA+ matters, grief work, and life transitions.

Amy Stokes LMSW Austin Mindful Therapy

Amy Stokes is a Licensed Master Social Worker who enjoys assisting adults, couples, children and teens to collaboratively create new ways of coping with life changes and stressors.  Amy earned her Bachelor's degrees in both Social Work and Psychology at Bemidji State University in Northern Minnesota, and then moved back to Texas to complete her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin. Amy has a professional background in school settings assisting families, parents, and children, and in-patient treatment working with adolescents and adults.  Amy is trained in CBT, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, and Play Therapy. Amy takes a relational-cultural and strengths-based approach to working with clients, and prioritizes using interventions that meet the unique needs of each individual.

Katarina Sanborn LMFTA










Katarina Sanborn. M.A., LMFT-Associate

Katarina Sanborn is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate under the supervision of Dori Mackel (#202076). With a Master’s degree in Counseling from St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX, Katarina brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice. Katarina is passionate about supporting children, teens, and adults as they navigate challenges such as grief and loss, life transitions, family changes, and anxiety and depression. She particularly enjoys working with couples and women seeking perinatal care, helping them embrace new beginnings with confidence. Using a client-centered, strength-based approach, along with techniques like CBT and play therapy, Katarina creates a warm and welcoming environment. Her dedication to fostering therapeutic relationships shines through in her compassionate, empathetic, and collaborative style.
